I think a strong figure drawing background is the backbone to good character animation. Going to figure drawing workshops has really helped my understanding of the mechanics of the body and the way we move. I feel much more confident about my ability as an illustrator which is largely attributed to advice I was given by teachers & other artists in figure drawing classes or workshops. These are some of my most recent figure and gesture drawings.
